Maya’s Fairy Cake Smash
This session meant a lot to Maya’s Mum as she missed a newborn session.
Maya’s Cake Smash was a fun for all of the family with Mummy & Daddy and both Grandma’s at the studio for her session. While many families book a Cake Smash session for the celebration and final artwork, bringing the family along to these sessions is an experience and creates precious memories.
The Cake Smash Set Up
These are my favourite colour combinations peaches, blush and gold. I think these are such pretty colours for little girls.
The backdrop featured circular bunting in blush, peach and gold, tassel bunting and a giant ‘one’ gold balloon.
Bibi’s Bakery included some special fairies on Maya’s giant cupcake as she loves her fairy book. The pink fairies with their gold wings decorated the bottom of the giant cupcake. Beautiful swirls in pink and blush top the cake. The gold 1 on the top completes the look for the occasion.
Maya wore a pink tutu, white t-shirt with gold ‘one’ across the front and a glittery gold bow hair band to celebrate her 1st birthday.
Smash the Cake Time!
Before we brought in the cake we had time for Maya’s favourite fairy book. Bringing some of baby’s special items into a session is another great way to capture memories.
When we brought the cake into the session it became clear that Maya loved her cake. Maya had a good munch on her cake – look at that slice of cake! Squishing the gold 1 from the top of her cake too meant every part of the cake got the smash treatment.
Maya was so sweet with the cutest moment during the session when she waved at the camera.
Splash time after a cake smash is a great way to get babies cleaned up, especially after messy sessions. Bath time is also where some of the best expressions appear. Maya absolutely loved the bubbles, she was just mesmerised by them. Her expressions are priceless admiring the bubbles.
